List of Functions

Definition of Function

The functionality in each Functional Area is divided into what are called Functions. There are two types of Function in the Areas, High Level and Low Level. High Level Functions are very complex. Therefore they have been broken down into lower level Functions. Some of these may again be High Level Functions, or they may be Low Level Functions. Low Level Functions are Functions whose functionality can be described without the need for sub-division into lower level Functions. They therefore represent the lowest level of functionality in each Area. For further information about the methodology used in the Functional Architecture, please read Chapter 2 of its Main Document (D3.1).
