This is a DFD diagram which provides a description of the function in the ITS environment

Overview

This High-level Function shall provide facilities for the global management of the fleet resources including vehicles, equipment and drivers.  Facilities for resource management during trip are excluded from this Function.  These facilities shall be found in the Manage Driver, Vehicle, Equipment and Cargo During Trip Function (8.3).  The Function shall consist of the following lower level Functions:

    Component lower level functions

    These Functions are responsible for the management of freight vehicles and freight drivers that are part of the freight vehicle fleet. They do not directly communicate with each other, but use Data Flows to communications with other functionality in the Area, with other Areas and with the terminators. The Functions and Data Flows are contained in the DFD for Function 8.2.2.3 - DFD 8.2.2.3.
