Overview

This Function shall be capable of providing the following facilities:

(1) The ability to decide which Demand Management Strategy that is to be implemented.
(2) The ability to make the decision about which Strategy to implement by analysing the data being collected and stored in the store of Demand Data.
(3) If no suitable Demand Management Strategy can be found to implement, the ability to respond to the request with an indication that the Transport Planner should be informed.

Functional Requirements

(a) continuously monitor for the arrival of the demand data for checking data flow
(b) when the data flow in (a) is received analyse the data and send the request strategies data flow containing a list of the criteria to be met by strategies that would manage the demand that the data indicates is present
(c) when the requested strategy arrives
