This Terminator is part of the Multi-modal System Terminator and shall represent the systems that manage the operation of the equipment used to segregate users of road based transportation and those using other modes of transport, e.g. road/rail crossings and road bridges over canals. It shall be possible for the functionality in the system to send data objects to this Terminator requesting that the operation of a crossing be held in a position where it favours road traffic, e.g. to permit the passage of an Emergency Vehicle or to indicate that the crossing is to close for use by road based transport and pedestrians.
