This Function shall be capable of providing the following facilities:<br/><br/>(1) The ability to create short and medium term predictions of urban traffic data.<br/>(2) The ability to create the predictions of short and medium term urban traffic data using algorithms that may be different in content and scope.<br/>(3) The ability to request and use current urban traffic data as the starting point for the predictions of short and medium term urban traffic data.<br/>(4) The ability to repeat the creation of the predicted short and medium term urban traffic data at (frequent?) periodic intervals.<br/><br/><br/>
(a) at (frequent?) periodic intervals send the data flow containing the request inter-urban traffic data to the Manage Urban Traffic Data function;<br/>(b) as a result of (a) continuously monitor for the receipt of the data flow containing the requested urban traffic data;<br/>(c) when the data flow in (b) is received, create the predictions of short and medium term urban traffic data using appropriate algorithms that may be different in content and scope;<br/>(d) when (c) is complete, put the results in the short & medium predicted urban traffic data flow and send it to the Manage Urban Traffic Data function.<br/>
