Terminator Location Data Source
 Diagram   Definition

Overview

This Terminator shall represent external entities that provide data to the System from which its location can be determined.  Typically this data shall be provided continuously without requests being made by any of the receiving Functions within the System.  The data shall be used by these Functions in the determination of the position of Vehicles and Travellers within the road network managed by the System, e.g. when the location of a Public Transport vehicle is needed to determine if it requires priority at junctions controlled by the System.  The actual identity of the source of the data is not important, but it could for example be GPS, or in the future perhaps Galileo.
